Thanks for stopping by and posting your map Bantis, we really appreciate it. Hey I was the one on epic who mentioned the collision around the light cones :)  But either way we will put this up on our server and give it a thorough run through sometime this week. Is this your first map? Looks damn good if it is. Keep up the good work bro! peeeeeeace

sorry guys im offline at home, so i cant play online... :(

i work at a public library admin'ing 23 machines, so thats my access to the world at this point.

 

now about this map:

i played it offline (instant actionz) with 15 players per team

GREAT MAP! i would suggest adding these items:

 

avrils- i cant find a single one, and theres mantas all over the place ! i was BEGGING for an avril... lol

health powerups- need more

vehicles- maybe some raptors up high via a transporter or a jump plate

jump plates- put em at the base of some of the towers, and add sniper guns or something

all in all, a playable map with potential... just needs more stuff in it.

keep up the awesome work bro!, and i look forward to the next update

There is one. But you are right it is very tucked away. With you suggesting this, I think I know just the places.

Yeah this is the kind of thing I need help with. I am really weak when if comes to populating items. Do you think mostly medium healths should be placed or single vials? I have places to put them I just didn't know which kind to add and how many. I was leaning on the side of to few as I didn't want it to be to easy.

Great idea but I might not be able to do this one. The map wasn't really made with z-axis in mind. It would take some serious re-working of things. If I added them it would mean I would have to put a pretty low "glass ceiling" on their flight which propably wouldn't be much fun or realistic. I will try though to see what I can do. Really like the idea of adding more "flight to it".

sorry i couldnt get around to testing this earlier im working on 100 maps atm lol

i found a few problems... mostly blocking volumes/collision

i would  add another skydome / more rock meshes / water plane..whatever so you cant see into infinite space on the outer edges of the map (take a manta up on the rocks and you will see what i mean)

*use forced direction volumes around the edges of the map to keep players inside

Thanks for the feedback the pictures are a great help. Yeah, collision really seems to be awful all around. There were other examples at the BeyondUnreal forums that those guys caught too. 

Thanks for taking such a detailed look. I am going to release a beta version when I have cleaned things up. Though based on what I have to do on it, it may take a while.

Got ya. I went through in editor and out of all the stock and custom WAR maps that I had and made a list of things I needed to add and do. Added that one quick.

wow... the only comment i can reply to is about those health powerups.

 

generally id say play the map with 15 vs 15 and note where you are needing health.

like midway between nodes... put the mid health ( not the tube vials) place avrils next to the weps lockers maybe?

and also at the core... (imho) is a good place to put health powerups too, for those who may be defending.

some day ill learn the ropes of the awesome map editor and begin making my own!

i opened up a map this weekend ( not yours ) and i was astonished... wow... i feel stupid !

i didnt know ANYTHING... i saw apples with wings !

hey bro ill dl this and run thru it again, and see how it feels now! cya on the other side.

I am in the process of making some large changes to the map. I have added/edited parts of each base. As per some other feedback I have incorporated flight to give it some more varied gameplay as it seems like a big map. In the process now of adding heavy, heavy collision so DaKilla and Darkdrium can't "break" my map!! lol

 

Plan to "roll it back" and release it as a beta rather than another final.

 

Phoenix, Arizona here. And yes it is now hot as bawls out here.

oops, silly me! i had the final on my thumbdrive, didnt realise i had already installed in on my game , so yesterday i gave it a full runthru.

heres my thoughts:

i used the vehicles mutator,weapons...

i added tanks, cicada, raptor the nightshade ( omg it kicked ass) think it needs more vehicles...

weapons i traded the avril for redeemer omg it was fun, and instead of the sniper i swapped it for the avril

I LIKE THE NEW LOCATION FOR THE AVRIL...maybe put a redeemer next to it?

also, when you jump to the sniper platform, and then jump over to the dish, maybe put a Keg-o-Health there?

( ya know, have a reason to jump over there? and a reward for getting there?)

only 2 weaps on the map so it was a tuff choice on what to choose to swap out with the weaps mutator...

 

ALSO: when i get up high in the raptor the background freaks out like im on acid or mushrooms or something! (lol)

and theres a armor upgrade that i cant get to playing the map default wise. ( no jump plate)

maybe add teleporters? add more weaps ( lighning gun?

mutating this makes it a heap more fun!!
